Why do you have to pay for Appraisals?

You are paying for a service from someone who has training and experience.  The price depends on how complicated and large the gemstones are and should be based on an hourly fee or rate per piece, not a percentage of value. Average rate is $65 a piece, but can range from $35-$150 per piece depending on complexity.

How do I make an appointment?

An advantage at Table Rock Jewelry Appraisals is that you can always have a while-you-wait appointment. Most jewelry stores make you wait a couple of weeks, and you cannot watch the appraiser at work. We go through your jewelry, helping you identify what is costume, what is the condition of your pieces, and which should have a full appraisal or a less detailed low-value appraisal. We then help you decide what pieces are worth gifting or trading in for money. Since gold is at record-breaking levels, most of our clients pay for their appraisals by trading in unwanted gold jewelry.
